SHAMANIC ART IN HONOR OF THE DIVINE FEMININE AND TRANSFORMATION

As a Shamanic artist I invoke guides, angelics and totem animal allies in order to express the Divine Feminine and sacred sexuality in a variety of mediums, striving to intuitively discover their energies as embodied in nature and in the spirit realms. I work with paint, ceramic sculpture, photography, drawing, collage and the craft of poetry, often weaving them together in a single multimedia expression. Walking the path of Beauty my work is dedicated to the awakening spiritual evolution of embodied humanity in the Aquarian Age.

Mission Statement:

As a visionary artist, healer and poet I am committed to using my voice, my hands and my art in the community for the intersection of spirituality, sexuality and transformation; honoring the Divine Feminine, the Gods and Goddesses, the angelics, spirit totem animal allies and spirit guides, as well as reclaiming sexual desire and pleasure for the empowerment of all women.

Nearing completion of repainting the outside of ARISE GALLERY including a mural on the front of the building in July of 2019.  The mural is yet to be completed due to weather factors and the closure of the gallery and church because of Shelter In Place starting in March 2020.

ARISE GALLERY, an adjunct to Ebenezer herchurch, has gone through several incarnations since its inception in the early 2000s.  Originally a collective of women artists including Pastor Stacy Boorn, an accomplished photographer at that time, as well as the pastor of herchurch, it was named AWE GALLERY; A Woman's Eye Gallery.  After the collective was disbanded in 2013, the gallery was renamed ANEW GALLERY and began another chapter with Deborah K. Tash as the curator in 2014.
Then in late 2018 it was decided that the gallery needed a new name more in tune with the goals and intentions of showcasing artists, primarily women artists, dedicated to the Goddess and spiritual transformation through art.  It was renamed ARISE GALLERY and began its next chapter with another new name.


Due to the closure of the gallery and church building in accordance with San Francisco's Shelter In Place mandate, there are not currently shows available.
